How does Tesla batteries have such a long battery life cycle?

While Tesla most likely won't verify this directly, Tesla batteries (21700, and most likely the older 18650) have graphene in them but again this isn't advertised publicly as it's only an additive and the majority is still li-ion. Without the graphene it's impossible for Tesla's car batteries to have such a large life cycle (they claim 1,500) as standard li-ion is only 500 cycles before it degrades to less than 80% of original capacity.
