There is an issue with the Apple Watch Charger on my Flash Pro Plus
We have created a number of troubleshooting guides which helped many of our customers. Majority of our customers have found they were able to resolve the issue by completing the following steps:
- Please be reminded that the wireless charging pads of the Flash Pro Plus have a plastic film on them. This film may interfere with the connectivity and hinder the charging process.
- To activate the wireless charging pads, please press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds. Once activated, the "W" power rate indicator on the bottom left of the OLED screen will blink. When the wireless charging is turned off, the "W" indicator will not blink.
- Place the Apple Watch directly on the charge spot located in the centre of the Apple Watch charging pad and hold it in place for a few seconds
- Try charging with and without any Apple Watch case, to check if it's your casing that is causing the issue.
- Since watchOS 8.3, there have been a number of complaints about third-party chargers not functioning as expected. Please download the newest watchOS to see if this resolves the issue. For more details, please refer to this article.

Apple Watch 7
During the development stage, our testing found that the latest version of the Apple Watch 7 series has a fast charging function that can reach about 3.5W Max when being charged with the original Apple charger. As the Apple Watch 7 series was recently launched in October, our live campaign had already ended and the functionalities of Flash Pro Plus was finalised with our factory long ago on our end. The wireless fast charging protocol of Apple Watch 7 series had not been decrypted and could not be made available with this version.
Apple Watch 6 and previous versions
During the development stage, our testing also found that when the Apple Watch is charging, the actual power required is only around 2W at most and not 5W. This was the case for the Apple Watch 6 and all its previous versions when being charged with the original Apple charger.
Temperature Requirements
The Apple Watch is also sensitive to temperature so when it’s internal chip detects that the temperature reaches around 35-36°, it will automatically reduce its power requirements to as low as 0.1-0.5W, and sometimes even stop charging.
When using our Flash Pro Plus, the charging function will still remain on and when the temperature on your watch drops, it will automatically re-connect to the Apple Watch to charge as long as you don’t remove it.
Charging Output as Displayed on the OLED Display
Another point we need to raise is that due to the space constraints of the OLED display of Flash Pro Plus, we were not able to fit in any values after the decimal point, so while the power output is actually 0.9W, the display will 0W. This may have lead some users to mistakenly believe that their watch is no longer charging so we would recommend checking the Apple Watch at this time to confirm that it’s still charging.
Estimated Charging Period
Our testing has found it usually takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes to 20 minutes to fully charge an Apple Watch with the Flash Pro Plus.
If these steps were not able to resolve your issue, please submit a request and a member of our Customer Happiness Team will respond within 24 business hours.
