How to remove magnetic debris and other particles from your Infinity cable

When using your Infinity magnetic charging cable, it can pick up some magnetic debris over time. This debris can interfere with the charging of your devices as it prevents a a proper connection so it's important to remove this debris straight away.

How does the Infinity cable atttract magnetic debris?

Because of the magnet in the cable head and tip, little pieces of magnetic debris can become attracted to it. These can come from the ground, off of a table, or from a variety of places, which can often make it hard to prevent. It is best to avoid using your cable in areas that have a lot of metal debris such as factries where grinding, welding, and drilling are known to produce these particles.

How Do I Remove This Debris?

Removing the debris is really quick and simply. Please watch our quick video below.

Another method is to use a soft bristled toothbrush. On a table, lay down a piece of paper or something else to catch the metal particles. With the magnetic end of your cable facing down over your surface, use the toothbrush with the bristles facing up and lightly scrub the magnetic end. You should see some of the metal pieces falling onto the piece of paper. NOTE: Do this with a dry toothbrush as moisture can damage your device.
